Lutz Bandusch

Lutz Bandusch is COO ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products. He had managed the European business for bars and rods of the world’s largest steel manufacturer since 2016. After restructuring the organization he became COO in 2022.
After studying metallurgy in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, the graduate engineer was working in various managerial positions at the ArcelorMittal Hamburg plant, most recently as CEO of the site.
The transformation of the industry to climate-neutral steel production with wind energy and green hydrogen is particularly important to him for the future of steel as a sustainable material.
In addition, Bandusch has been involved in industry association activities for many years; among other tasks, he was deputy chairman of the Industrieverband Hamburg e.V.
